Having had his car fixed by Alan after his gearbox and clutch failure in race 1, Stephen was all set for Round 6 of the Championship. Starting from pole position, Stephen held the lead for a couple of laps, but was kept under pressure by David Shepherd and Barney Craggs who were sitting on his bumper. Shepherd made a move on the inside of Campbell to take the lead on lap three, and from there on a mammoth three way fight for the lead began between Shepherd, Craggs and Campbell. After a number of lead changes, the race was stopped due to an accident in S Class. David Shepherd took another well deserved win, closely followed by Craggs and Campbell in 2nd and 3rd. Austin and Bailey finished close behind in 4th & 5th, once again showing their determination to challenge for the 2005 Club Class Championship.
In S Class, mayhem ensued when 2003 Champion Speller attempted to take 1st placed man Loukes on the inside at the chicane. Both drivers made contact, which caused Loukes to spin into the path of a hard charging Forster. Both cars were very badly damaged, and the incident caused the race to be stopped.
Following an investigation by race officials, Freddy Nordstrom was awarded his maiden victory in S Class, followed by Andy Sayle and Mark Drury in 2nd & 3rd.
